Today developed the branding for the Dutch-Greek olive oil brand, Gkazas. We got straight to work on various communication tools, such as the logo, the design of the packaging, illustrations, (food) photography and the website.
The Dutch-Greek Gkazas family produces olive oil on their own land, in the mountains of Crete. Born out of love for the product, they make it in the most authentic, pure and natural way possible. Every winter the family harvests and presses the olives themselves. Their extra-virgin olive oil is unfiltered, organic, cold-pressed, never mixed with other oils and has no additives.
Develop a new brand identity with distinctive communication tools. In doing so, you will provide us with a strong and professional answer to the growing number of questions from customers.
Today developed a new look and feel that emphasised the family character of Gkazas. We photographed real people: the family and friends of the oil producers, at work on the land in Crete. We came up with the slogan ‘Oil in the Family’, branded a delivery van and designed a new website. We also looked at Gkazas’ packaging.
The logo combines Greece and olive oil in a simple, yet iconic way. It stands as a dynamic symbol for the Gkazas family and unites the entire brand experience across the bottles of oil, print and other communication. Simple and powerful, ’oil you need’.
Every winter the family Gkazas harvest and press the olives themselves. Their extra virgin olive oil is unfiltered, organic, cold-pressed, never mixed with other oils and has no additives. We went to Crete to film everything.
The Dutch-Greek Gkazas family produces olive oil on their own land and that of their neighbours. “Out of our love for the product, we make it in the most authentic, pure and natural way possible.” This honest family product is available from various outlets, including retailers in Amsterdam, Utrecht and Arnhem and via the Raja Nature online shop.
To further support the brand’s identity, we offer some words of Greek wisdom. A little bit of Plato, ‘Good olive oil is half the battle’ and Socrates, ’Good oil brings good people together’.
Together with the family we developed a ‘Gkazas gift-box’. A handmade wooden box with silkscreen printed text. Brothers Tom and Floris drove around the country to deliver the boxes in person to several foodbloggers. In the box itself the bloggers found a little olive tree and a bottle of Gkazas olive oil. The little olive tree represents the tree on Crete that they receive for 3 years from the Gkazas Family.
The bloggers were also invited for a Masterclass cooking with olive oil. The masterclass took place at The Loft in the A’dam tower in Amsterdam. A beautiful location with fantastic view over the IJ and Amsterdam. Three chefs showed the foodbloggers how to cook with Gkazas olive oil.
