Design For Humanity
During the 2015 Dutch Design week, a ‘Design Hackathon’ with 150 creative students took place on 23 October. The objective was to come up with new ideas and solutions for the refugee issue.
While we were still busy expanding the ‘Welkom in Utrecht platform’, the studio was up for a new initiative: ‘Design for Humanity’. During the Dutch Design Week, 150 students (from various universities and art academies) were asked to think about and work on conceptual, but above all, practical ideas. This was an opportunity for co-creation with young innovators. With their fresh insights and openness for ideas, the students addressed the same problems that policy makers have to wrestle with, divided into tightly defined themes. Today designed the communication for this event and will support the students during the Design Hackathon.
