There’s an inexhaustible energy source right beneath our feet. Encor make this geothermal energy usable. The company provides an energy-neutral way to heat and cool buildings by designing, building and maintaining source systems. Today helped them portray their mission.
The challenge
The current energy crisis has shown that we’re too dependent on fossil fuels. Encor believes that geothermal energy is the most sustainable way of heating and cooling your house or business. Encor wants to put this message across through its brand, thus strengthening its role in the energy transition.
Our role
We dived into the world of geothermal heat with Encor’s management. We interviewed clients, employees and other stakeholders to get a clear picture. The challenge with this B2B brand is that the entire business and its story are highly technical, while we wanted to tell a more emotionally charged story too. In the end, we managed to find a good balance. Once our brand positioning and brand story were clear, we started to work on the new name. We presented it to the employees and established clients first, and then to the wider public with a robust and powerful brand identity, without frills.
At the earth’s core
The logo is a circle made of two parts. Together, they symbolise the sky and the earth. The division of the circle represents the power of the renewable circular energy that Encor works with.

The ground offers by far the best natural energy source for sustainable and comfortable living and working. That’s why Encor makes geothermal energy feasible and affordable. Encor designs, drills and realises source systems as well as providing management and maintenance.
